A very unofficial guide to getting into DEP

It's rather hard to draft out this guide, because I'm not even sure how I managed to get in myself.

But I think mostly, the below would mainly constitute some of the things I (stupidly) or not so stupidly did. Feel free to copy my behaviour, but it won't guarantee you a place in Sec 2 drama class next year... (it's part of my fruitless attempt to make you successful)

1) Pay attention in Drama class.

It never hurts to look up when the teacher is speaking, and nod responsively, and do what she/he tells you to without complaint. Make sure you know what drama elements/conventions are needed in both your theory/practical work, and make sure you mention/use them.

2) Have a good attitude.

Don't whine when you don't get into the same group as your buddy for groupwork. When asked to complete drama reflections, do every single one of them, seriously, with utmost effort and care.

3) Effort.

For every drama practical assessment, do thorough research, and start rehearsing with your group well before the assessment date. If your group members do not intend to take drama next year and thus treat it very lightly, do all the work such as script writing, or casting or planning, yourself. It'll do you good in the long run. Besides, if you truly enjoy drama, you won't mind spending the whole day drafting out the script.

4) Passion and determination.

You have to be really, really interested in drama before you consider taking it up as a formal subject. You must bear in mind that it will become as important as your Math/Science/English subjects once you take it up in Sec Two. Love what you are doing, and nothing will ever go wrong.

5) A very stupid thing I did.

Oh wells, it might be stupid, but it might've helped! Anyway, throughout the whole of Sec One, we were given loads of talks about Drama, like its history, and thte school invited actors to come and stage some cool drama stuff, and there was this Sec One drama showcase towards the end of the year, I think. I sat up very straight and fixed my eyes on everything that was happening in front. As you all know not all of the talks are very interesting, and not all of the performances were very engaging, but still I sat ram rod straight and tried to become extremely, furiously interested in anything that was going on. Sooner or later, everyone in the room will start slouching, and you'll be the only person with a straight back, looking earnestly at the showcase. This shows how actually interested you are in drama. And...er...sets off a good impression, I guess.

But of course, I don't think the drama teachers take that officialy as a rubric for selection.

The above are (I repeat) my personal opinion and advice, doing all of the above might not get you into DEP. They're just some guidelines!

Have fun!

Love,

SN Girl 1

ps: If you have any queries about drama, or anything in particular, feel free to drop me a message on msn. (stnicksgirl1@hotmail.com) I'll try to answer it as best as I can. Or you can leave a tag! =D

Yo!

Lol...hello....

What's up, people? How's life. Find everything ok?

I'm posting randomly, btw, no tips or any sort. Hahahhaha!

Oh wait, I do have one.

In SN right, there are many times when popularity would get you somewhere, or get somebody else somewhere. I used to find this very hard to cope with because I think it is absolutely unfair and stupid, and thus emo for a very long time. I'm still irked by popularity votes now, but I don't take it to heart. Popularity is inevitable, but what's important is that you don't let those decisions made by teachers/classmates annoy you, or make you sad. Because it's not worth it, nobody can fight against popularity, you just have to mind your own business, and life goes on. You'll forget about it soon enough. :)

Another thing. Cliques are, and I hate to say this, abudant, in SN. Most of you are probably in cliques already as you read this post, but I'd like to caution against being too attached to one whilst still in your Secondary One year. Who knows, you might get dumped, sooner or later. The more attached you are to a group of people, the more the hurt. Most cliques formed in Sec One don't usually go on into the next four years of secondary school life, you will drift off, eventually, and once that happens, you might find that you won't have anyone else to be with in your class anymore, because all this while you've been so closely knitted within your clique that you've failed to socialise among your other classmates.

When you finally realize that, it's too late to catch up, because then everyone would have already found their own friends, and it's usually hard to get people to know you again, to strip away their initial impression of you, I mean, like once they see you they think: Oh I associate her with so and so and who and blah.

So it's always the best to mix around, and don't too glued onto a certain group of people. Be friends with everyone, so when you finally break away from your original clique, you'll have lots more company to receive you. Gladly. :)

I've been meaning to tell you guys the above since like, I started UGGSS. But I never got to say it until now, I didn't write about it in the beginning because I didn't want to scare anyone into thinking that making friends is hard in SN, I just want to let you know that getting dumped is part and parcel of SN life, and once you DO get dumped, it's not good to be depressed for the rest of the year. So that's why you should start socializing with everyone, and try not to get into the clique trend. :)

Hahhaha, that's all I guess.

How's Drama for all of you? Everytime I see those purple files I get tingles all over cos it remidned me of my sec one drama days. Oh yeah, I'll post a quick note on how to get into DEP later on. :)

Until then, peace be with you.

Love,

SN Girl 1

ps: A shout out to all choir juniors: You people were great during orientation, saw loads of happy faces, I know it was gross, but still, it rocked right? =D

pps: Keep trying to guess who we are!

Geez, this blog is so dead.

Lol! Hello everyone.

Blah blah blah. No tips this time, except maybe phones with Singtel contracts tend to not function in Sec 1 classrooms (especially 1 Truth).

Hahahha that was random! :)

Not function as in you can't call, but it works perfectly fine otherwise.

How's life. Eh, all of you didn't answer our questions in the V day note!! We're crushed. T__T

Oh well, this's to make the blog alive once again, though it'll flop dead soon anyway. You guys are gonna be true veteran SN people real soon, and we're glad!! :D

Aw mans, we have no idea how this blog is supposed to function to the Sec Ones next year cos we'll be in the new site and we won't know ANYTHING about it, so. =/

If UGGSS still exists when we graduate, perhaps we'll pass it on to some of you! :D

Bleh. Randomness all around! Tag, people, to make us feel loved. =D

Till we meet again,

Love,

One and Two

Happy V day!!!

Hahaha. Hope everyone liked our lil' card! Did most of them during Malay class and loads were last minute cos some of the cards went missing five minutes before recess, but let me tell you those cards are bursting with one hundred percent effort and care ok! :D

You're most welcome!!!

Sincere apologies to Rachelle, New St. Nichs Student, Michelle (girl with fake name :D) and One Loyalty people!

Rachelle: We didn't know which class you are from!! So sorry!!!! HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

New St. Nichs Student: We have no idea who you are, but if you're reading this, YOU ROCK. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michelle: Hey there!!!!!!!!! Wish you'd given us your class tho...and your real name. :( We were very sorry we couldn't give a card to you. :( HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

One Loyalty Guide Readers: Sorry guys. We ran out of Toblerones. If you went around comparing UGGSS Valentine's gifts, you'd have realized that all the other people except One Charity received a dark Toblerone chocolate. :D We ran out of chocs for One Charity too!!! :( Hahaha so we gave you just the hacks. We aren't tryna' send a wrong message! :)

Yay. For your information (to quench your burning curiosity of how we managed to give you guys cards. Yes yes we know you love us!! :D) we went around during the one hour Recess. :)

I'm tired now. Haha. Happy Valentine's Day! You people rock! :)

Love,

St. Nicks Girl 1 (and Two who's probably stuffing herself with Macs now.) :)

Are you the only Amanda in your class?

Hahahahahha ok ok sorry for the no-permission-given name usage, but like I said Amandas are in abundance in SN (or maybe Rachel, since my class boasts a total of four Rachels and three Sarahs. :D)

Anyway, if you're not the only person with your name in class, can you tell us through the tagboard? Please attach your surname, ok? :D Thanks!

PS: Please tell us by the end of this Thursday, before 12am. :D

A random suggestion

Yo there. Heehee. Yeah, SN girl 2's tips rock. She's a pro at bottled drinks. :D :D :D Take advice from the experts! :D

Anyway. Just a little poll. Would anyone fancy changing the UGGSS blog url to www.uggss.blogspot.com?

It's a little easier to type, I suppose. I mean ultimategenuineguide is kinda tough too. Haha. But changing the URL would pose many problems, for irregular readers of UGGSS, unless we put a relink thing there (which is too much trouble for the lazy us HAHA) or I can go around tagging everyone and telling you.

ANYWAY, as I was saying, www.uggss.blogspot.com fine with you people? We're neutral about it. We'll look at how many people wants to change it. :D

Hee.

Be glad the blog is alive once again. :D

Tag, people, tag.

Stars,
Peace,
Fortune.

Testing.. testing : sngsgirl two speaking!

Hello people! Haha, didn't post for quite long. Okay, very long. >:O
Just here to sum things up and stuff ^^

Woopedo here i go:

-first off, cca people Ohohohohoho. Howsit going? I'm here to cheer for infocomm!
SUPPORT = SIGN UP FOR VALENTINES DAY SONGS AND BUTTON BADGES!

Oh. This is going to sound very lame but, through the posts, we have found we didn't really explain what Fried Food Day was about, though some of you may know already.

^Basically, every wednesday is Fried Food Day. AKA the stalls sell fried food, i.e. the last stall at the spec stand side.
^Where? The whole of the canteen would not be selling fried food though, alternate weeks, the stalls at different sides of the canteen take turns to sell fried food. sides aka the bookshop-side and the orange-bowl-side.
^ Fries, fried fish, fried sea weed chicken, fried poh piah ect.

Random warning..
^Warning: drink stall. When purchasing bottled drinks, sometimes they might be frozen.
^Do not ever, ever, try to recklessly just pop open the cap in class..
^The whole thing might explode.. in the middle of lesson time.
^Suggested = open it BEFORE you get to class, if okay, just close it again.
^Worst case scenario - the drinks spill out.. foam.. fountain.. doesnt really stop. bring it to a nearby drain [desperate, try not to] or run to the toilet. [watercoolers no washing]

-haha, feel so boliao now.
well. its the end of this post for now. tagboard's dead due to the blog-on-hiatus thing. oops.
ok. gonna try to liven it up abit. YEAH. WEEK5'S FINALLY OVER~ tests are kinda gone for the moment but we're still gonna work hard and be just a bit busy. wish us luck!

hee

No subject

Heya guys.

How's school? Argh bleh ok this question is kinda vague and ambiguous, so here's a more specific set of them

1) How's the work load?
2) How's the food?
3) How's mass PE and morning jog?
4) How's everything?
5) How's CCA? (Choir in particular)
6) Do you miss the Guide Writers for not blogging for so long??? :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Aawwww, don't have to say. We know you do! =D

Can't think of any more tips at the moment, apparently you guys are pretty experienced in the area of SN now. Telling you more about SN would probably be wasting your time. Unless, of course, you have any inquiries. (Which of course you don't the tagboard has been dead for so long.)

Just asking. Who'd be interested to know how you can get into Drama for Sec Two? (But here's a first hand warning. We don't even know how we got in ourselves. Probably through luck and quite a lot of effort. Our tips on how to get into Drama will probably be slightly wrong, or unreliable.) So. Anyone interested? We won't be doing on it if there aren't anyone who's interested. :)

That's it guys. No tips for this post. Until more suggestions come in, because we seriously don't know what you guys need to know now.

Keep well.

St. Nicks Girl (1)

PS: V day's coming!!! (^^)v Anyone dedicating songs to us?? :D :D :D Haha just kidding. I'm a little hyped up now. Hahahahahahahhaha. :D

Tag replies (again) :)

Hahahaha! So many many people in just one day! It's so amazing!!

How did you guys manage to find UGGSS? Friends? Oh my goodness! Is UGGSS like, well known in the Secondary One level?? Haha! (in my dreams LOL) If you guys don't mind, can you link yourselves please?? So we can keep track of how many people are currently reading UGGSS. :) And the old readers too! Link yourselves up because I've switched to a new computer and I've lost all your lovely blog urls... T___T

Oh yes, UGGSS goes Live! You can also add us on MSN (yes I know I've been repeating this since loads but hahaha!)

stnicksgirl1@hotmail.com and stnicksgirl2@hotmail.com

:D

Sarah: Haha yes WX reads the blog too! She's participating actively in class? Omg I'm so darn freakin' happy! :) Be nice to everyone in your class ok? Never, ever be too caught up in cliques. You'll have no idea how much hurt somebody else will be going through. :( But haha! Hello Sarah! Again! :)

Angie: I hope our website helped!! :D :D :D Debate is a cool CCA. :D Congrats!! :D

Jos: Hello! Is Jos your full name? Sounds darn cool. :D HAHA THANK YOU! We get so happy when juniors say our tips rock. :D YOU GUYS ARE FREAKIN' ROCKERS TOO. :) There're more in the archives (on your right), check on the 2008 tips. :) More tips comin' your way!! :D Spread the love and pass UGGSS to people who needs it! WL: Lol! Hello to you too! Were you introduced to UGGSS?? Haha, you are very cool too. :)

Kaiwen: HAHAHAH good for you. :D Too bad you didn't get into Choir or Ms. Lim would enjoy gaping at your relation with SN choir's red badge SC. :D Still can't believe you're her sister mann...I tell you, everyone is connected in some way in UGGSS. It's so amazing. :D

Hahahahaha that's all for your taggie replies. :D I'm so happy for those who got into Choir! Just a reminder though, please please do not make flamboyant gestures and scream at me if you discover that I'm SN Girl (1). Haha! Or else I'll be thrashed by the rest of my fellow choristers. I'm trying to stay anonymous here! But I'll still be there for ya if you need any help!! :D Any questions on choir (or art club if there're any people in it) FEEL FREE to hurl it onto the tagboard. We promise you a reply in 24 hours. Lol! :D (And for those who know who I am, *sshh.* ;) Never ever refer to me as SN Girl 1 in front of other people or you'll get whacked on the head. And NEVER EVER tell the other Choir seniors who I am, or you'll get slaughtered. :D)

Oh yes! For the rest of the UGGSS readers (you guys didn't tag! :( Humph!) please tell us which CCA you got into alright? Heehee!! :D

May the wind rise under your wings,

St. Nicks Girl (1) and (2)

PS: Another additional reminder!! SN girl 2 and I gently tell our CCA juniors that any discussion of UGGSS during CCA is strictly prohibited unless nobody is around. :D We will be to you as who we are in real life and not as the Guide Writers until CCA is over. :D Thank you!

Replies to LOTS of people's tags!!

Hello everyone!!!!!!!!! I SEE LOADS OF NEW TAGS ON THE TAG BOARD AND THAT MAKES ME HYPER EVEN THOUGH IT'S 10.36 AT NIGHT AND I NEED TO SLEEP. O_____O

Sarah: Greetings. :) I suppose I didn't tag you personally, I think someone (THANK YOU) introduced UGGSS to you. :D But welcome to UGGSS anyway! :D Another new reader and someone to help! Haha. :) Yes, I am in Choir, and no, I was not at the auditions (sadly) I WAS AT THE CCA FAIR THO. :) Oh well, it's ok! Don't worry about the choir stuff. I bet you'll get into some CCA you simply ADORE. :D

I read your blog (thank you so much for linking yourself! How'd you know we want people to link themselves automatically?? haha!) and you're the security monitor. (Which is cool, because three of the current Guide Readers have become monitors and still pending! :D) Security monitors' jobs are pretty easy, I suppose. No, it's not just about keys and all that. You still get to lead the class and be happy. Being a security monitor means going back to class at least five minutes earlier before the bell rings so you won't have your whole class standing by the locked door and tapping their feet. A late security monitor generally makes people grumpy, so don't be late for anything that requires you to unlock the door for (eg. after music lessons, drama lessons, if the class needs to do Friday Duty, remember to stay back and lock the door after they're done.) Never ever lose the key, because if you do, you'll have to bother the auntie or uncle and maybe pay for the key yourself.

And as for being a monitor generally, the best virtue is never be bossy, because nobody likes bossy people. Be fun, be original, be leader-like, but never, ever become bossy or too full of yourself. Treat your job seriously (and like I said, it's not all about keys) don't slack, and fulfill your task magnificently. :) If you can accomplish that, you will remain as a monitor in everyone's consciousness even when you step down after Semester One.

Tricia: And hello to you too, junior! :D Putting too many CNY deco will be too....? Too what? No, we don't know. Lol! If you mean too enthu, no way. One can never be too enthu for deco competitions. C'mon man, everyone knows that the more enthu a class is, the more likely they're gonna win. :) Too red? Haha, again, no. But if you ask SN Girl 2, her advice would be to check out the colour of your classroom first, and make sure the red matches with the colour. Good luck for the CNY deco competition! :D

Angie: Hello again Angie! :) We personally cannot offer you any tips on how to memorize your Third Language, but here's a pretty simple website on how to memorize a foreign language. :D Oyasumi nasai! :D

Once again, welcome to all new readers of the guide, and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SPREAD IT ON TO OTHERS WHO NEED THIS. :D We LOVE having new readers! And thank you for saying our tips rock, yes we know they rock, haha! (I mean, it's not like we're boasting or anything, but c'mon, which lovely senior in St. Nicks thought of setting up a blog to help juniors to survive in SN in the middle of the December holidays??) :D

May the wind rise under your wings,

St. Nicks Girl (1)

PS: CCA results are supposedly out tomorrow, please tell us which CCA you got into!! :D :D :D

Its about time

Well, its been ages, and I MEAN AGES since i posted.. [audience wails]
Nyaha, sorry people, its just the CNY deco took up lots of time :( :) bittersweet.
Here's some tips to spunk up your deco [though i won't tell you ALL of my secrets ;D]

1]
If you need to paint a banner, ect. but you want it EXACTLY THE SAME from ur computer screen, heres what ta do.

Ask this super nice teacher to lend you a com: search the web/time drive: visualiser on!
And Walah! You got it on screen! All you have to do now, is turn the visualiser to the wall and nyaha! put ur canvas up paper ect. and start painting!

2]
Ang baos rock the nation. Angbao your notice boards, as borders, cut it into shapes, paste paste paste ect. And there ya have it

3]
Grills. The grills above the windows of the class are FANTASTIC. Weave ribbons ect. and tada.

4] This is really getting bad and impractical :( its a competition! And you guys are from many many many many many different classes. Make the deco unique! Try to put it up latest as possible, for some very evil people may copy ideas and turns out, some classes may have similar decos! [gasp! dies..] Don't worry, if it turns out similar. Don't start pointing fingers, and get into fights! [cat fight!!!!] It may just be a misunderstanding or you lovely lovely sec ones are so fantastically artistic that your artistic brains had some phyco connection! [SMILES WIDELY]

Oh gosh. What am i saying. Digress...

Well, deco's gonna be terrific! Team spirit sisterly love and all that wonderful stuff.

About class blogs and class t-shirts..

Best to put up the blog and email now - try asking teachers to send stuff to the email. Subject reps, post up notices man, discussions up too! AND YES. TAKE CANDIDS. MANY MANY MANY MANY WONDROUSLY HILARIOUS CANDIDS :D time to post up good memories onto a class blog!!!

Class tshirts. Keep designs simple and sweet - don't make it too complicated, for it will be EX.
Look for a cheap bargain, and start making phone calls, visits to the stores!

Weehee
Thats all for now!
WORK HARD! JIA YOU! CNY CNY CNY!!!!!!!!

SNGS GIRL TWO
-wow. how long have i not posted? O.O sorry One!

PS. My com broke down, i reinstalled msn, msn is stupid, constantly hanging. signing out every few minutes is inevitable. So.. its kinda hard to contact me via msn.. sorry! :) i'll try to talk online tho! :)

Note to new readers

Just a reminder! :D

You guys can always add us on MSN: UGGSS GOES LIVE! :)

St. Nicks Girl (1) : stnicksgirl1@hotmail.com

St. Nicks Girl (2): stnicksgirl2@hotmail.com

Please add both of us if you feel like chatting to us live!! :)

Replies to Angie :D

Hello Angie! I'm so glad you replied to my tags and didn't think this was a scam or anything. :)

As we always explain to bewildered new Guide Readers, we found your blogs mainly through Google searches. (Yes Google is wonderful) For your blog I typed in the key words "CHIJ St. Nicks, first day of school, fun, orientation camp" Haha, I wanted to look for new guide readers, thus the impromptu Guide Reader finding. :D PLEASE DON'T FEEL LIKE YOU'RE BEING STALKED, because you're not. :) We just want to help.

CCA Options

I reckon there's not much use trying to persuade you to join any CCA now because you've probably submitted your choices already and gone for all your auditions, besides, I don't know what previous experience you had in primary school! So I guess I can't really answer your question, but you can try unique Secondary school CCAs like Girl Guides, NPCC, St. Johns, LD or Art Club. Choir is cool too, but that won't be a new experience for you if you've already done singing in primary school. =/

Haha! :)

Thank you for visiting and welcome to St. Nicks and UGGSS!! :D PLEASE KEEP VISITING AND ASK ANYTHING YOU WANT, as for the CCA question, you can ask about any CCA you're interested in! :D

May the stars watch over you,

St. Nicks Girl (1)

PS: OH YEAH please pass this blog on to your classmates if you can! :D Thank you!!

Just a quick note on photo-taking :D

Photo taking for you is going to take place very soon. I don't know when, but still, very soon.

Those photos are going to last for your whole life in St. Nicks, I don't think there will be a re-photo update session. :D

1) Remember to wear your blouse. If you forget, you have to borrow from someone else in your class, and her blouse might not fit you as nicely as your own blouse, and when the pictures come out weird, it's gonna be with you for the next four years. :D

2) Wipe your face if your photoshoot is in the afternoon and you're sweaty.

3) Put on the right expression. Don't look too awkward or startled, a small smile will do. Looking amused is great. :D

4) Make sure your hair is neat or everyone will be thinking you had that kind of hairstyle in Sec One.

The photos are going to be pasted in your PPRs, and lots of other documents, so SMILE and be happy!! :D

Cheers,

St Nicks Girl (1)

Valentine's Day and other stuff

Greetings. :D

V day's approaching, so here's a little guide to Valentine's Day in St. Nicks. Usually a noisy and flamboyant affair (if I may say so. It may be an exaggeration) generous girls bring huge bags of sweets and candies or little cards and distribute them to their whole class, seniors, juniors, or CCA mates. :D Coming to school empty handed is fine too, it's definitely not compulsory to spend your money on buying candies for your class.

Hm. Yeah. I guess that's all. Store the chocolates carefully in your bag or eat them before it melts, say thank you to whoever gives you the choccies, enjoy the sweets, and blast through Valentine's Day. :)

HOW TO IRON YOUR PINAFORE.

The ironing pro (aka ME) says "Make sure the pleats can be seen." I love ironing my school uniform btw. I find it calming and nice. :D If you want your pleats to be seen, just er. Hold them and press the edges of the pleats down, then iron it over, instead of just ironing it out straight, which will lead to cone shaped pleats. I don't know if you know what I mean. =/ Lol! :D

COMMON TESTS.

Friday is a Common Test day. Since this is a rather common-sense piece of wisdom, I shall just say it anyway. Manage your time well in the days before Common tests. Studying during the weekends help, because you'll be so loaded down with tests and projects during the weekdays. Your classrooms will be open till 5.30 (I think) after school, so that's a great place to study too. Doing last minute revision is bad. So listen out for test dates announcements clearly, and mark them with the TEST! stickers in our student diaries.

CCA: The Right Attitude

It's a strange new world to you, so look out for your own errors and participate actively in bonding sessions! Try not to get misleaded by first impressions, but at the same time use those instincts to help you be aware of the right/wrong company. It's definitely ok to ask a senior for help in anything, they're your seniors, after all. But don't take things for granted, either. Learn how to do things by yourself quickly, be attentive during CCA sessions, and don't grumble about your CCA in front of your CCA members. It's quicker to make enemies that way. I'd say it's ok to be shy during the first few practices/sessions, but make sure you open up soon!! Never ever pon your CCA unless you reall can't make it, it'll bring you to the attention of teachers and leave a bad impression on fellow CCA members. Be happy and ENJOY your CCA, and then things will be just fine for you. :D

Seriously, I guess that's all I have to say for this week. It's getting harder and harder to write these days as you guys make new friends and get to know your way around the school. Bleh. NEW IDEAS/SUGGESTIONS FOR NEW CHAPTERS OF THE GUIDE GRATEFULLY WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMGGG PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ASK MORE QUESTIONS YOU FREAKIN' JUNIORS OR THIS GUIDE IS GOING TO BE DEAD!!!!!!!!! AAAHHHHAAAAHHHHAAAAHHHHHAAAAHHHH. Seniors reading the guide are welcome to suggest new stuff too!!!!!!!!! JUST. DON'T LET IT DIE. :D

Keep well,

St. Nicks Girl (1)

PS: For all those that managed to get into Choir or Art club, please don't start pinpointing random people and asking if they're us!! Lol! We don't want our anonymity to be endangered. But being the extremely good Guide Writers we are, we'll still help you during CCA albeit under the name of our true names. :) LOOK OUT FOR KINDNESS. :D

PPS: OH YEAH. If you got into the Choir, PLEASE TAG ON THE BOARD TO LET ME KNOW!! :)

Monday, January 12, 2009

Let's keep it neutral, OK?

Alright.

Let's keep it neutral.

As in, you don't try to find out who we are, and we keep posting. We hope you understand the importance of our anonymity, and how we cannot possibly function with the whole school knowing who we are.

We don't want suspicions to be raised, serious. We don't want finger pointing in St. Nicks, like how "Ooh I think she's SN girl 1!", and accusing each other of creating the blog. We just want to remain like how we are now.

In the earlier days when the blog was still rising from its ashes, we planned to reveal our identities sooner or later when the blog is well established, and enjoy the shock on all your faces. (This is directed to the Sec Two cohort, not you, dear juniors) But looking at how things have gone so far, we don't think it's such a good idea anymore.

We will neither confess nor deny our identities. It would please us very much if you guys can keep it down and read the blog with respect, tagging regularly and contributing to UGGSS by spreading the blog to more Sec One juniors, and try not to probe any further into the matter of our identities. It makes us feel stifled and uneasy, like we're being blamed for something, and we know that this is not right: we should never be blamed for creating a blog to help juniors.

If you know who we are, so be it. Know it in yourselves, acknowledge that, and say no more of the matter. When things blow over, you can come gently approaching and, perhaps then, we will reveal our identities to you. :) Try not to make a big hoo ha out of everything. I know, I would've been as curious as any of you if somebody in my CCA did something so incredible like UGGSS, but I trust that once I have a vague idea of who that person is, I'll keep to myself and admire her from afar. :) (If you guys really admire us, that is.)

We don't want you to treat us any differently just because you feel that we're the Guide Writers, we're just normal people you eat and play and work with, just keep it that way, our alias in cyberspace is really a separate thing.

If you're familiar with the Angel Mortal game, in which different people pick random people for their mortals and send them letters and small gifts everyday, and the mortals write back to their angels, but the rule of the game is that you must never let your mortal know you are her angel, you would understand the rule of UGGSS. It is very much like this game, in which we help the juniors in anonymity, and all we want in return are opinions and replies and responses from the readers.

You're still our friends, still our partners, still our fellow CCA members. And we're still the same old people.

We trust that you will respect us and let us be, if you really want to know who we are, try asking through our UGGSS Goes Live! account (stnicksgirl1@hotmail.com and stnicksgirl2@hotmail.com) when everything is done. Never, ever ask us in real life, because we'll freak out and you'll get the same response you always got. :)

Thanks to everyone who spreaded the blog on their own, albeit only to Sec Twos, please pass the blog on to other Sec One juniors!! :)

UGGSS is now back in operation.

:D

Love,

St Nicks Girl (1) and (2)
